These half day car excursions typically start at 9.30am and return to Kasbah Angour around 1pm.
Sidi Fares Villages
In this circuit discover the Berber villages high up in the mountains. We follow the Ighighayne river valley to the market village of Asni and cross over the river then climb up to the Tihallatine Plateau where there are wonderful views of Mount Toubkal (4,167m). Continue to Sidi Fares (1,800m), a collection of villages below Mount Oukaimeden, and return by the delightful Sidi Fares valley and Outghal village.
There is the opportunity to stop for a camel ride by the river, go for a 45 minute walk in Sidi Fares, stop for tea in a Berber house or visit the weekly souk in Asni if the excursion is on a Saturday. Supplements may apply.
Ourika Valley
The Ourika valley is one of the favourite destinations in the Atlas Mountains with the residents of Marrakech who come to admire the rapids and experience a sense of adventure in the mountains. Travelling along the edge of the mountains until we reach the Ourika valley we then follow the river and admire the Berber villages perched on the valley sides and the road-side arts and crafts shops.
